Spending a night in the woods can be scary. Wild animals are living in such areas that can lead you into a life-threatening situation.  Make sure you clean your rifle and take it along with you. You should also bring a large rifle primer with you in case you need it. You do not have to kill the beast but you can scare it away with a fire or two.

  1. Bring Appropriate Clothing

Lastly, you should consider your attire when leaving for the cabin. It can get chilly in the woods in the middle of the night. You certainly have a fireplace in the cabin, however, take no risks. Bring warm clothes for the night. During the day you should consider wearing full sleeve shirts and pants to avoid any mosquito bites.
