Building Childcare Capabilities — A Human-Centered Design Approach

We are all lifelong learners. It is true for some of us. The pursuit of learning is an inherent strength. For others, it can be challenging. It’s a heavier lifting force.

What is human-centered service design?

In the past year, CCAoA has studied and implemented Human-Centered Services (HCSD) design in our work. HCSD is a solution that requires you to consider challenges/issues from a user perspective.

At CCAoA, we work to improve, build, and design solutions that take our users into account. Many parents lost custody of their children.

Service providers cannot meet the changing requirements, and CCR&R seeks to directly serve the three populations affected by changes in the ability to care for children in their communities.

Using the HCSD approach allows us to consider it carefully.

At what point do we need more compassion? And increase our stake as we build solutions.

We asked ourselves this question during the test: Although Solution X may work for some people, it is not. But will it work for many or all? What is intuition? How can people with access to the product/service improve their performance?

We continue to share our expertise in the childcare landscape as an organization, but we are also integrating HCSD to address childcare capacity and other challenges. We know that problems in each community are different.

And solutions may vary. However, there are similarities in which other stakeholders and we can be managed together.

We understand that almost all challenges affect a community’s ability to care for children. Capacity isn’t just the amount of childcare space. But also an understanding of issues that harm competence.
