Culture and sport
Young people, in general, are often presented to the world as full of ambition and hope and are therefore seen as important agents of cultural change. The UN Population Fund describes this expectation of young people as shaping the culture of the future:
As they reach adolescence, young people develop their identity and become autonomous individuals. Young people do not share the experiences and memories of their elders. They develop their own ways of perceiving, evaluating, classifying and distinguishing problems, as well as the codes, symbols and languages through which they express their thoughts. Young people's reactions to changes in the world and their unique ways of explaining and communicating their experiences can help change their culture and society to meet new challenges. .....
