Memory cards have become very important these days as they are useful in expanding the storage capacity of your device. You can use the memory cards in your mobile phones, iPad, cameras and other devices to store data that you are not able to normally store in your device. 

Generally, we call these memory cards SD cards but let me tell you that an SD card is only a type of memory card and there are other different cards also present.   • Size Difference Between SD card and Micro SD card

The first major difference between the memory card for Switch i.e the TF card and SD card is their size difference. The SD card is bigger as its size is 24mm x 32mm x 2.1mm while the TF card is smaller with dimensions of 15mm x 11mm x 1mm. 

  • Application differences

Another very big difference between tf card vs sd card is their applications. SD card means secure digital card and the working application of the SD card is make after the semiconductor flash memory but the TF card has a different application. The application of the TF card is relatively new as the card is one of its kind. 

  • The max capacity

The capacity of both the cards also differs as the TF card slot and memory card slot are also different. There are different sizes available on the SD card while the TF card is available for up to 512 GB due to size limitations.
